Comforter Art Action Blanket # 112
FABRICATION (LOCATION & DATE):
- K. Boggild made the blanket top in her studio in Kitsilano. She brought it over to the Comforter Art Action headquarters in November 2013.
- In May, I pinned the top and the filling to a sturdy black backing that was left over from a black cloak that I made as a wizard costume for my son, many years ago.
- The filling is a fluffy but worn (verry clean!) blanket that M. Dragu salvaged from the "give away" pile in her apartment building's communal laundry room.
- On May 22, 2014 the women from the Moberly - Arts and Health Project helped me to knot the blanket at the Moberly Community Centre in Vancouver, Canada.
DELIVERY:
- On December 10, 2014 this blanket was delviered to a shelter for children in San Diego. Pam Calore introduced Comforter Art Action to this shelter and accompanied us on the delivery, along with artist Angel Chen (Taiwan).
The blanket arrives at a San Diego children's shelter.
