FABRICATION (Location & Date):
- This blanket was first produced as a backdrop for a display called Princess City, at The Glenbow Musuem in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (2009). The colonial bed in front of the hanging quilt was from the museum's collection. It was used to display blankets that were finished through Comforter Art Action sewing circle events in the museum during a "Sew City" project. They piled up, like in the story of the Princess and the Pea, demonstarting a collective social wealth inside the city. The pea is one of the repeating images that was silk screened onto the fabric panels that make up the blanket. These panels continue to be a gift for participants of Comforter Art Action events. They have also been sold in fundraising auctions ("SOMA Summer", Mexico, 2012). Also see - Princess City
- It was so big, it has been combined with Together Maze (see 116) and turned into another blanket (see 117).
